34th Annual Juneteenth Parade & Harambee Festival

Bridgeport's signature Juneteenth celebration returns for its 34th year as the City of Bridgeport partners with Juneteenth of Fairfield County, Inc. to host the annual parade and Harambee Festival. The parade kicks off at 11 a.m., stepping off from Burroughs Community Center on Fairfield Avenue and winding through the Black Rock and South End neighborhoods before arriving at Seaside Park. The post-parade Harambee Festival runs until 5 p.m. and features marching bands, drill teams, cultural performances, vendors selling food and crafts, community resource booths, and family-friendly activities along the shoreline. It is the largest and longest-running Juneteenth observance in Fairfield County and a centerpiece of Bridgeport's summer event calendar.

Juneteenth Bar Crawl Downtown Bridgeport

Celebrate freedom and Juneteenth with a guided bar crawl through downtown Bridgeport on the evening of June 19. Participants visit multiple participating bars and lounges across the downtown district, with drink specials, music, and themed décor honoring African American culture and the Juneteenth holiday. Wristbands provide access to all participating venues from 4 p.m. into the evening, and attendees are encouraged to dress in red, black, and green or other Juneteenth-inspired attire. The crawl is designed for adults 21+ and is a social-night complement to the city's daytime Juneteenth observances earlier in the week.
