About This Event

Rohi's Readery, West Palm Beach's beloved Black-owned children's bookstore, partners with The Square (CityPlace) for an afternoon honoring Black culture, history, and joy across all ages, marking the Readery's two-year anniversary of recognizing Juneteenth. Programming runs in rotating sessions: African music and dance (4:15-5:30 PM), Juneteenth storytime for families (5:30-6:00 PM), a community spiritual walk and ancestral connection for adults (5:00-6:30 PM), a culture-focused cooking class (6:00-7:00 PM), and a closing conversation on Black joy and Juneteenth history with Brian Knowles (7:00-8:00 PM). The event embodies the Readery's mission of liberation and unapologetic Black expression.
