The Urban League of Hampton Roads, in partnership with the City of Portsmouth, hosts the 5th Annual Juneteenth Freedom Day Festival on Friday, June 19 from 2:00–8:30 p.m. on the Portsmouth waterfront. The celebration honors Black freedom, culture, and resilience with live music headlined by Q Parker (founding member of R&B group 112), soul food trucks, artisan vendors, art showcases supporting BIPOC creators, and family-friendly activities along the Elizabeth River. Free admission.
