Free Juneteenth fair celebrating freedom, resilience and community wellness while connecting residents to vital services. The Juneteenth Community Resource Fair event will celebrate the enduring spirit of freedom and resilience and our shared collective commitment to building healthier, more equitable communities. This free, family-friendly event is designed to connect our residents with vital services while honoring the profound significance of Juneteenth. It serves as a premier opportunity for local government agencies and community organizations to deepen its relationship with our residents and elevate its brand as a pillar of community wellness. Structure: We will be hosting sessions in two dedicated educational rooms, running from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in three one-hour blocks. Room 1: Wellness Access Sessions Overall Focus: This room will concentrate on providing essential information regarding wellness access, nutrition, mental health, and preventive care. Session Schedule:11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Nutrition with Hebni Nutrition Consultants: Focusing on practical guidance and culturally relevant healthy eating habits. 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Mental Health: Led by Hope Serenity Health, addressing mental wellness resources and preventive practices. 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Preventive Care: Featuring Orlando Health doctors providing trusted medical insights and access to healthcare services, including interactive Q&A. Room 2: Economic Mobility Sessions Overall Focus: This room is dedicated to empowering attendees with actionable knowledge on small business development, housing options, and educational pathways. Session Schedule:11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Small Business Seminar: Insights into foundational skills and resources for starting and growing small businesses with the City of Orlando Business Development Division. 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Housing Session: Representatives from the City of Orlando Economic Development (DDB/CRA) and Bright Community Trust will provide comprehensive information on housing options and programs. 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Voting Workshop: Powered by the Orange County Supervisor of Elections, bridging the gap between civic engagement and personal prosperity by offering tools for upward mobility.
