PAUSED FOR 2026: The Music City Freedom Festival organizers have announced a strategic pause for 2026, with the festival returning in June 2027. Nashville still has many other Juneteenth events — see Juneteenth615 at Fort Negley (the city's flagship celebration with Tennessee's first Juneteenth firework display), Fisk Food & Jazz Festival at Fisk University, and the Tennessee State Museum Juneteenth Celebration.
