What to expect at a family-friendly Juneteenth event
Family events lean into accessibility — kid-paced programming, age-appropriate history activities, craft tables, storytime hours, sing-alongs, and food vendors with options for picky eaters. Most run 2 to 3 hours during midday or early afternoon. Strollers welcome; some venues offer shaded family rest areas. A great low-stakes choice for first-time Juneteenth attendees with kids.
