Saving 17: The First Mile Gala is the inaugural fundraising gala benefiting the George & Gianna Floyd Reentry Center. Join us for an elegant evening of purpose, partnership, and possibility as community leaders, corporate partners, entrepreneurs, professionals, advocates, and supporters come together around a shared vision of creating meaningful opportunities for young people. The George & Gianna Floyd Reentry Center is being developed to support young people ages 17–18 navigating reentry and major life transitions, connecting them with mentorship, education, workforce readiness, skilled-trade opportunities, resources, and pathways toward long-term stability. Why “The First Mile”? Because sometimes the first opportunity, the first mentor, the first job, or the first person who believes in you can change everything that comes next. Saving 17 is more than a gala. It is an opportunity to come together around a vision for second chances, stronger futures, and sustainable pathways forward. Guests can expect an upscale black-tie experience featuring mission-centered programming, entertainment, networking, fundraising, and opportunities to support the vision of the George & Gianna Floyd Reentry Center.
